Vanex Currency Exchange Inc. (“Vanex”, “we”, or “us”) values and respects your privacy. We have prepared this privacy policy to explain the manner in which we collect, use and disclose personal information when you visit our website located at https://vanexgroup.com (the “Website”), visit our retail locations, interact with us through our WhatsApp channel, engage with us through our social media channels, and otherwise interact with us.
Vanex provides individuals and businesses with a range of services to assist customers with their foreign currency needs, such services include but are not limited to, currency exchange, international transfers, online payment solutions, digital currency transactions, and prepaid credit card solutions (collectively, the “Services”).

Create an account: In some circumstances, you may be required to create an account in order to access the services. We will never ask you for your password in any unsolicited communication (such as letters, phone calls or email messages). Further, if you create a business account or a student account, we will collect additional information related to your business or school.
Access the Services: In order to access the Services, we may collect certain personal information which varies depending on the Services you are interested in. The information we collect may include your name, email address, information about your school if you require our assistance to pay your tuition fees (such as a letter of acceptance) and information about your suppliers and vendors if you require our assistance to pay such third parties in their local currency (such as names of your suppliers and banking information).
Depending on the dollar value of the transaction, or the type of Service you wish to access, we may be required to collect additional information, such as government issued identification (passport or driver’s license), financial information, and other “know your client” information for identity verification purposes required under applicable laws including the Proceeds of Crime (Money Laundering) and Terrorist Financing Act (Canada), regulations and policies made thereunder and other statutes and regulations that take legislative measures against money laundering, terrorist financing and against financial dealings with certain sanctioned individuals and entities. This information will be used by Vanex for the following purposes:
• Verifying identity and other information provided to Vanex (including information about your bank account);
• Detecting and preventing fraud and other unauthorized or illegal activities; and
• Meeting other legal and regulatory requirements.
In some cases, we may be required to schedule a virtual meeting with you to verify your identity. We will record the meeting for our record keeping purposes as required by applicable law.
Purchase a Service: If you purchase a Service from Vanex, we (or our authorized third-party payment processor) will collect information such as your first and last name, email address, phone number, address, and your payment and banking information (depending on your payment method, this may include including billing address, name of your financial institution, bank account number, and transit number) in order to process your payment and provide the Services.
Sign-up for our marketing communications: If you sign up to receive email marketing communications, we will collect your email address in order to send you information about our product, offers, and events. You can unsubscribe at any time by clicking the “unsubscribe” link included at the bottom of each email. Alternatively, you can opt-out of receiving email marketing communications by contacting us at the contact information provided in the “Contact Us” section below. Apply for an opportunity with Vanex: In connection with a job application or related inquiry, you may provide us with certain personal information about yourself (such as that contained in a resume, cover letter, or similar employment-related materials). We use this information for the purpose of processing and responding to your application for current and future career opportunities.
Contact Us: When you contact us with a comment, question or complaint through email, telephone or through our Website, you may be asked for information that identifies you, such as your name, email address along with additional information we need to help us promptly answer your question or respond to your comment, question or complaint.
